This children's Christmas service uses dialogue instead of recitation. The children are generic villagers, shepherds and angels. Even the congregation participates as visiting strangers. Although this is called a musical, it was designed to be presented in the church proper, using the traditional format of group recitation and singing. Like a radio play, costumes and staging aren’t necessary- although some groups have included them to varying degrees. Traditional Christmas hymns for congregational singing are interspersed throughout this presentation.
