To begin the Epiphany season, here's a
format designed around Jesus' childhood years- from his presentation at
the Jerusalem temple soon after birth, through his return to that
temple at the age of twelve. Six easy songs (not included) for either
adult or children. Speaking parts can be done by pastor(s) or other
readers. This includes sample pictures for a Power Point or JPEG/DVD
presentation, but you will have to make your own visuals (optional), as
well as purchase the music- if you don't already have it. Even if
you can't use this it might give you some ideas!
New text for a familiar Advent tune
This service was written for a Sunday
school with fifty children enrolled. Most of the songs are traditional
and available to you from other sources. One is included with the
script and two others may be purchased from me. (Or you can substitute
other songs) Please edit this script according to your needs!
Here's another one. Again, edit as you
wish
The PDF file, "Four Spanish Songs,"
was translated by Beth Flunker.
Hopefully her son, Pastor Tim Flunker, will be able to contribute more.
These four songs are: "Make a Joyful Noise" (Cantare A Jehova); "A
Prayer to My Friend" (Hablo Con Mejor Amigo); "He Came" (Hombre Y
Dios); "One in the Lord" (Somos Uno)
Simple public domain rounds for either children or adults.
Here's a 10 minute chapel drama for End Times.
It was originally written for Wisconsin Lutheran Collage in 1995.

Some people can't carry a tune, but they can read expressively!
Here is a format for congregation and choral readers.
Over the years I have made front covers for some
of the songs I have used with choral groups.
Maybe you'd like to use them, too.
Song Covers
Here is a special
presentation for Maundy Thursday with readers, a choir, and
picture presentation.Use however befits your situation! (Three songs
you may need to purchase are $5 each and in the eSongbook, "
Lent-Ascension")
This
hymn is sung during prayers.
The congregation sings the first stanza, then a prayer for the church
(accompanied by keyboard) is read by the pastor. This is followed by a
second stanza, prayer, third stanza and could finish with the Lord's
Prayer. A
bulletin insert is included.
"Questions"
was originally written for a six-week Lenten series
for college student. One stanza was sung each week.
The theme is applicable to all Christians, so use as you deem
appropriate.
